Home News Tech Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to Go on Sale in South Korea from August 23

Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ at its Galaxy Unpacked event in New York on August 7, and now, according to a report from Yonhap News Agency, the company will begin selling the Galaxy Note 10 from August 23 in South Korea — its home market.

The report cites sources from the local carriers in South Korea, and also claims that the company will only offer the 5G variants of its Note 10 and Note 10+ smartphones in the country considering the fact that South Korea’s 5G adoption rate will result in 3-4 million active 5G connections in the country by the end of this year. However, in other countries, the company will sell 4G variants of the phone as well.

Samsung is expected to launch two variants of the Note 10 — the regular Note 10 and the bigger, Note 10+, and the company is expected to sell both the Note 10 and Note 10+ in 5G as well as 4G variants to cater to the needs of all potential customers.

The Note 10 is expected to come with a 6.3-inch SuperAMOLED display, paired with the Snapdragon 855 processor. It’s also expected to bring a triple rear camera and a selfie camera within the punch hole in the center of the display. The Note 10+ on the other hand is expected to carry mostly the same specs, however, it will come with a larger 6.7-inch SuperAMOLED panel, and is expected to add a fourth 3D Time of Flight sensor to the rear as well.

We’re fast approaching the launch of the new phones, and we’ll be covering the launch extensively on our website so stay tuned.
