The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) is taking a leaf out of the US’ playbook, and will examine every single initial coin offering (ICO) to decide appropriate regulation. ESMA Chairman, Steven Maijoor, said he is examining how ICOs fit into existing regulatory frameworks, Reuters reports. “Some of these ICOs are like a financial instrument.
