Team Android just lost one of the few remaining defenders of the headphone jack. Today, OnePlus founder Carl Pei went on the record to say the company’s next device – presumably the 6T – will not have a headphone jack. In an interview with TechRadar, Pei said: “It was a very controversial decision. We’re not doing it for the sake of doing it and because everyone else is. We believe now is the right time, as it’ll benefit the majority of our users while keeping the downside low.” Specifically, those benefits include freeing up space for “improved battery life” and…
